This hole is played into the prevailing wind, belying its distance.  The fairway looks wide from the tee, but there is a hedge and ditch encroaching from the sides at around driving distance, making accuracy a premium.  The second shot takes you towards a pair of bunkers guarding the approach to the green.  Should you go for length and risk the bunkers, or lay up short and face a longer third shot?

The large green has out of bounds behind, and trees to both sides.  Having hit the green, you could still be faced with a 50-foot putt for that elusive birdie.
