From the clubhouse, we cross the entry road into Coed Y Mwstwr Hotel and walk up a flight of steps.  

The view from the first tee is stunning, taking in the whole of the first 6 holes. An apparently straight forward drive, if teeing off from the edge of the world can be termed simple.  The hole goes steeply downhill and through a gap in the hedge to a  rising fairway leaving a short iron second shot to the green.

The green is protected by 2 bunkers, and a  clump of gorse just short and right.  The contours of the green provide many an undulation in the line of most putts, making this difficult to read correctly.
